What is Rooibos?
Rooibos (Aspalathus linearis) is a small shrub in the bean family that grows only in a single mountain range in South Africa and nowhere else on Earth.
The needle-like leaves are fermented to produce the tea's characteristic red color and rich flavor. Rooibos (say roy-boss) is an abundant source of antioxidants and minerals.
It is an ideal tea for children, as well as for those sensitive to caffeine. It is also naturally low in tannin.

Rooibos is naturally caffeine-free.
Rooibos is a rich source of antioxidants. It has an ORAC value of around 2000 molTE/240ml, which is roughly equivalent to a cup of green tea.
