Oregano essential oil comes from the Origanum vulgare plant, native to Europe and used since the ancient Greek and Roman civilisations. The name comes from the Greek 'oros' (mountain) and 'ganos' (joy), as it is a pretty flowering plant that grows on mountainsides.

Nature's Shield oregano oil is certified organic and steam distilled. Use it in an oil burner, diluted with a carrier oil for massage, in lotion and soap-making, or diluted in a spray bottle as a natural addition to homemade surface cleaners.

Nature's Shield oils are part of a plastic-free supply chain: the raw material arrives in steel drums, is stored in stainless steel tanks and is filled into air-tight amber glass bottles in Australia. Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. To perform an allergy patch test, dab a few drops of oil on the elbow, wrist or knee and wait 24–48 hours to check for any signs of irritation or allergic reaction.
