Fairly good for the price

I thought this was expensive when I purchased it, but once you try it you realise you are paying for quality.

Pretty good, maybe even very good (in certain applications)

I would give this 3.5 if I could, but always round up, right? I bought this on spec, for hair, trying to replace the discontinued Fermented Coconut Oil Alaffia used to have (why must you discontinue everything I love, Alaffia?!). As a replacement for that product, this shea butter is definitely sub-optimal, but it had big shoes to fill.

It goes on quite sticky, which made me nervous, but thankfully as it dries all the stickiness goes away, which is a relief. It's a little heavier on my hair than the coconut oil, but not to the point that I don't want to use it. So I'll use up this tub (which is pretty large), but I'll probably also look at other options before I'd buy this again for hair.

For skin, I think this may be a better fit, so don't be turned off by my experience if it's skin care you're looking for. This is a quality product and it's truly unscented which is a relief in this highly fragranced world.
